You’re dreaming of getting that flawless Hollywood smile…but the thought of going through years of braces doesn’t sound so appealing. Is there any way you can get a picture perfect smile without having awkward metal wires on your teeth? Thanks to the technology of Invisalign, there is!
The Invisalign technology involves the use of customised clear aligners that will gradually move your teeth into the desired position. While there are many brands of clear aligners in the market, Invisalign is the most established system and has been a pioneer in the industry for over 20 years. If your main concern with braces is about the aesthetics, Invisalign is the ideal solution for you.
Invisalign Comprehensive is able to correct more severe cases of misalignment, crowding and spacing. An overall treatment time of 12 to 18 months is normally expected.

Extractions of teeth may be necessary in cases of severe crowding or protrusion of teeth. However, not all patients require extractions.
In general, the treatment time ranges from 1 to 3 years. The actual duration is dependent on the severity of the problem.
The duration of your Invisalign treatment is capped at five years. However, Invisalign patients have typically never had to undergo treatment for more than three years.
There will be some discomfort, but generally, Invisalign will be more comfortable than braces. Braces get tightened once every four to six weeks, and this means that more force needs to be applied in a single session to get the teeth to move to the next desired position. In contrast, for Invisalign treatment, you will be required to change to a new set of aligners every week, so the difference in pressure will be less.
Invisalign is unfortunately not Medisave claimable. However, should there be a need for a simple extraction, CHAS subsidies will apply.
